La Salle Retreat Centre, Mellieha, Malta

The recently refurbished La Salle Retreat Centre is situated in the beautiful valley of Santa Marija Estate, overlooking Mellieha Bay. It is ten minutes away from the renowned Sanctuary of Our Lady in Mellieha. The Centre has become a venue for many meetings, seminars, and retreats.

Anybody staying at or just visiting the La Salle Retreat Centre in Malta, will agree it is comfortable, well-kept and ideal for retreats. This spiritual gem has been achieved by Brothers in Malta refurbishing the Centre and by the friendly, prayerful and relaxed atmosphere created by Mr Sam Borg and his wife, Yvonne, who are the hosts at the Centre.

For the last two years it has been the chosen venue for our District to hold a summer course for Young Lasallians. It is also well used by the Lasallian schools in Malta for day and residential retreats. It is also a popular venue for other groups.

The Centre has a multipurpose hall seating over 80 people and is equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment. There is also a Conference Room, Boardrooms, Prayer Room, and a large garden for moments of quiet reading and meditation. Most of the 22 bed-rooms are en suite, with windows over-looking the beautiful bay of Mellieha. A well-equipped kitchen serves homely and healthy food.

Therefore, the Centre is the ideal place for groups to run courses and retreats suited to their own needs.

The De La Salle Brothers hope that the Centre will always be a place where those searching for God will find an opportunity, through prayer, silence, fellowship, discussion and the surrounding beauty, to listen to what the Lord is saving to them.
