Staff SDP meeting, 19 February

As part of the ongoing  school’s development programme, a meeting was held after school hours on Thursday 19 February 2015. This SDP  focussed on “Recognising Good Behaviour”. The meeting commenced with a prayer led by Assistant Head Ms. Carmen Cutajar. A plenary session was addressd by the Head of School Mr. Frank Micallef. Work then continued in smaller groups. Education Division officials from the Internal Review Department attended the meeting and each work groups session was facilitated by IRD officials.

Carnival at St. Benild school

Early in the morning, bright colours and happy faces walked into the hall.

Grade 1 Miguel’s Assembly about Carnival

Grade 1 Miguel presented an assembly about Carnival and its traditions in Malta.  All the children in the hall joined in reciting the the rhyme

“maskarat tini perlina għax warajk għandek xadina, minflok waħda tini tnejn għax warajk int m’għandek xejn”.

The assembly came to a close with the Innu tal-Karnival.

After receiving a lot of input about St. Benild during assemblies, lessons and our activities on his feast day, our boys drew their own interpretation of our school Patron Saint.
